I don't have a ton of solar panel experience. I bought some others claiming to be 200W each and they were literally more like 30W on a good day. These 50W panels were between 35W and 40W in mid-September, on a flat sailboat bimini, in Rhode Island (so 41 degrees north!!!) not angled towards the sun. I wired 2 together in series to get 40V into my MPPT charger and it spit out around 5 or 6 amps at 13.4 Volts and my boat batteries have never been happier or more reliably and fully charged.Next summer I expect to get closer to the theoretical limit when the sun is 22 degrees north, a mere 19 degrees shy of directly overhead in a RI summer. To essentially be at a 45 degree angle in Sept and produce so much power, I was amazed.So these panels worked as advertised and it was quite a thrill to plug them in and see so much electricity flowing "for free" into my batteries. I couldn't believe it!
